Jinghong

Jinghong, meaning “City of Dawn” in the Dai language, is the capital of the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. Its history dates back over 800 years. Jinghong has long been the political, economic and cultural center of the region and has a population of around 40,000.
