This is the second largest city, after Faro, in the Algarve in southern Portugal, and the incredible beaches are its main attraction. Here you will find excellent beaches, such as Rocha Beach, but also small coves, dizzying cliffs and ideal waves for surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing: these beaches host a number of international championships. The beach bars extend right up to the sea and cod and other fish stews are prepared here like nowhere else.
