Nestled in the eastern part of the Seto Inland Sea near to Kobe, Awaji is an island located in Japan’s Hyōgo Prefecture. Famous for its flowers and food products, it is easily accessible by two impressive bridges including the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the world’s longest suspension bridge.

Perched on a hillside between the Rokko mountains and the sea, and the capital of Japan’s Hyōgo Prefecture, the beautiful city of Kobe forms part of the Kansai region. Relatively small, visitors can explore much of the city on foot, and sample its local cuisine and famed sake.
